Topic: The Challenges and Rewards to Doing Conservation Along a Highly Dynamic (Ephemeral) Coast

Speaker: Seth Blitch, Director of Coastal and Marine Conservation, The Nature Conservancy of Louisiana

Seth's presentation will explore some of the coastal restoration projects of The Nature Conservancy in Louisiana and around the Gulf that aim to adapt a rapidly changing coastal environment, including oyster restoration and recovery, migratory and resident bird populations, and the resilience of coastal communities.

Reflections in the Garden is a monthly "lunch and learn" series presented by the Friends of LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens. The lectures are held on the first Monday of the month at noon at the Botanic Gardens.

Due to COVID-19, Reflections in the Garden is being live-streamed to members of the Friends of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens through Microsoft Teams. In-person attendance is now open to members and nonmembers with registration.

All members will receive a link to the Reflections live stream even if they register for in-person attendance. Friends members also have access to the Reflections recordings.
