About the Speaker:

Alessandro Holzapfel is a Graduate Assistant in the School of Plant, Environmental, and Soil Sciences at the LSU AgCenter. He has been instrumental in organizing and conducting MarketReady producer training workshops across Louisiana, aimed at assisting local food producers in establishing business strategies and effectively marketing their products to local markets, restaurants, grocers, and educational institutions. Additionally, Alessandro has contributed to the development of online sales platforms, such as Food4All, to support Louisiana growers and producers in reaching consumers during challenging times. His work reflects a commitment to enhancing the economic well-being of local farmers and food producers by providing technical assistance and expanding opportunities within the local food system.

Reflections in the Garden is a monthly "lunch and learn" series presented by the Friends of LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens. The lectures are generally held on the first Monday of the month at noon at the Botanic Gardens.

Reflections in the Garden is live-streamed to members of the Friends of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens through Microsoft Teams. In-person attendance is open to both members and nonmembers with registration.
